Home » Reception enjoy a fun problem solving morning with Year 6
When we came back to school on Monday we were so excited to see how much our beans have grown over the weekend. Wow! It is amazing what a little sunshine and water can do! We can’t wait to see how tall they have grown by the end of the week so we can record it in our diaries. In Maths, Reception have been working on counting in 2’s and 10’s this week using cubes, toy and coins. We have enjoyed playing in the garden to fish for numbers and adding on two more each time, some excellent numbers sentences being written on the path. On Wednesday we were very lucky to have a fun problem solving morning full of exciting activities led by Mrs Rowe and some of the Year 6 children which we are sure you have seen on Tapestry. On Thursday, the Reception teachers were proud to show the external moderator examples of children’s fantastic work done both at school and at home, through the use of workbooks and Tapestry. Well done Reception, keep up the good work!
A polite reminder that your child has a form to be completed in their book bag which will be your ‘parent comment’ for the end of year report. This needs to be in by Friday 26th May NOT June.
