Preschool host a Royal Wedding party

Preschool have been busy preparing for our Royal Wedding party this week. The children started the week excitedly planning what food they wanted to eat and what they would wear. The children then made their own invitations deciding on their chosen party food. Thank you for all your food contributions and lovely decorations, I'm sure you agree that Preschool looks amazing.

We ambitiously decided to make a Wedding cake and have spent the week rolling out sugar paste and making red, white and blue bunting and flowers to decorate it with. The children's imagination and creative skills have helped to make a cake fit for the Great British Bake off!

Our Wedding role play area provided opportunities for the children to experience being at a Wedding and take on different roles. We all had great fun being either the bride, groom, guests, vicar or registrar.

We have explored shapes and repeating patterns when making crowns to wear at the party. Perhaps at home you can help your child look for shapes and patterns in everyday objects and the environment.

Five Little spaceman in their flying saucers have been helping us with number recognition and subtraction. Have a look at the spaceships flying around Preschool when you are next in.

Next week our number rhyme will be Five Little Ducks.
