Red Nose Day

This morning in assembly we were treated to some amazing jokes form some children with very unusual hairstyles. Representatives from each class stood up and told their jokes in front of the whole school. A panel of expert joke tellers (well Mr Lloyd, Mr Wallace and Mr Ellis) awarded marks out of 5 and Lily W was given the responsibility of tallying the scores. There was a winner from years 1,2 and 3 and a winner from years 4, 5 and 6.

The winning joke in the juniors section came from Theo D:

The winning joke in the seniors was from Lucy A:

A man knocked on our door and asked for a donation for the local swimming pool…

I gave him a glass of water!

This was a really fun way to raise money for a good cause. The total money raised will be published in next week’s newsletter.
