The academic success of our pupils is consistently recognised by external examinations at 11+, as well as national Key Stage Two SATs examinations and independent school examinations. As a non-selective school, we are very proud that Gateway’s pupils consistently gain access to highly selective secondary schools across Buckinghamshire and beyond.
While academic results are vitally important to us, at Gateway School we place equal emphasis on providing a rounded education that produces children who are secure, happy, confident, highly motivated and with a love of learning that will sustain them through secondary education and later life. We are very proud of our pupils’ many achievements in a wide range of non-academic areas, with success in a number of regional and national sports competitions and music events.
Our leavers in Year 6 gain places at selective local Grammar schools, including Dr Challoner’s, Royal Grammar, Aylesbury Grammar and High, and to a wide range of local independent schools, for example, Berkhamsted, Pipers Corner, The Royal Masonic School for Girls & Headington.
Individual children have also been awarded academic, music, art and sporting scholarships to a range of Independent Schools.
