Results and destination schools

The academic success of our pupils is consistently recognised by external examinations at 11+ and through independent school examinations. As a non-selective school, we are very proud that Gateway’s pupils consistently gain access to highly selective secondary schools across Buckinghamshire and beyond.

While academic results are vitally important to us, at Gateway School we place equal emphasis on providing a rounded education that produces children who are secure, happy, confident, highly motivated and who have a love of learning that will sustain them through their secondary education and later life. We are very proud of our pupils’ many achievements in a wide range of non-academic areas, with success in a number of regional and national sports competitions and music events.

Our leavers in Year 6 gain places at selective local Grammar schools, including Dr Challoner’s, Royal Grammar, Aylesbury Grammar, Aylesbury High, Sir Henry Floyd, Wycombe High and Chesham Grammar, and to a wide range of local independent schools, for example, Pipers Corner and Chesham Prep.
