Preschool transition children visit their new classrooms

It’s been a week focused on transition for our Preschool children. They have been busy meeting their new teachers and visiting their new classrooms! Transition children even experienced eating their lunch in the hall and going to assembly! They were so well behaved on both occasions, showing that they are very ready to start reception.

Children have enjoyed outdoor play in the sunshine this week where we have made the most of the glorious weather by playing with bubbles and water. Children were very keen to water the plants this week as they thought they might be thirsty! Children have enjoyed creating sandcastles in the sandpit and playing with our new big colourful bricks; building towers and homes for their dinosaurs.

Next week will be one of mixed emotions as the children prepare for their next steps and moving on. Children will enjoy a ‘superhero’ themed party on Tuesday afternoon between 1.30 and 3pm. The children made and took home invitations this week in preparation for the party. It is sure to be lots of fun! Please join us for the leavers assembly on Wednesday 10th July at 9am where the children will share a song that they have been busy practising (you may want to bring tissues!)

As the summer holiday approaches, children will be taking home a Preschool summer activity pack with a few ideas and resources to keep your child busy over the summer break. We hope you enjoy them.

Thank you for your continued support,

The Preschool Team
