Reception have been busy preparing for TOP finale

This week has been all hands on deck for the final part of the ‘Take one Picture’ exhibition. All of the teachers throughout the school have been busy little bees getting all of the children’s work backed and displayed for the grand finale in the hall today. It has been such fun to explore the painting ‘The Battle of San Romano’ by Paolo Uccello and the children in Reception have thoroughly enjoyed all of the activities over the past 2 weeks and it is amazing to see how many areas of the curriculum can be reached from just one painting! We really hope you enjoy looking round the school exhibition and see just how hard the pupils and teachers have worked. As part of our topic this half term we have been talking about nocturnal and diurnal animals and following on from the story ‘Hoot’ by Jane Hissey, the children were able to sort out animals into the two groups. In maths we have been challenging the children to form all of their numbers correctly. We have sent the number formation rhyme sheet home for you all to learn and for homework please encourage the correct formation.
