Reception children impress us with their phonics

This week the children have continued to develop their Harvest knowledge. They have learnt some fun facts about tractors and been introduced to non-fiction books. They have explored making patterns on apple templates and learnt about different textures by making lolly stick scarecrows with felt and buttons. In Maths we have started to explore shape and the children are beginning to use mathematical language to describe shapes as well as naming them. The children have also worked very hard in their Phonics lessons this week and we are proud of their efforts!
