Reception children have a jam packed week
This week has absolutely flown by! It was jam packed with fun filled activities, enthusiastic children and contagious laughter from both teachers and students! The children started their busy week by marching down to the school field in search of a dinosaur egg! This provided an introduction to our week of activities ranging from learning a variety of dinosaur facts, looking at information books, dot to dot dinosaurs and making our own dinosaur book! We ventured back down to the field for Forest School to make our own giant dinosaur skeleton out of twigs and sticks and even used our ‘baby dinosaur’ to explore friendship and compassion when the children took it outside during a rather wet and soggy playtime. The children decided that it would be kind to keep him under the shelter because the dinosaurs were used to living in a very warm environment so it wouldn’t be used to the rain! It has been lovely to see the children soaking up so many facts about the dinosaurs and we hope you enjoy looking at the dinosaur posts on Tapestry as much as we enjoyed taking part! Have a great weekend everyone and we will see you on Monday where our RE focus for the week will be based around friendships and how to be a good friend. If you have any books relating to the hospital, dinosaurs or friendships, send them in as we would love to see them.
