Reception children learn about the festival of Holi

What a wonderful week we have had in Reception. The children have learnt about the Festival of Holi. They wanted to throw powder paint on each other just like people do in India, but we decided as we didn't have our old clothes we needed a different plan. The children came with the idea to throw coloured paper, so we made some confetti from tissue paper and celebrated by throwing that instead! Don't forget to look at your children's writing about Holi when you come for Parents' Evening. We finished off the week by learning about Sport Relief. The children participated with great determination and enthusiasm on Friday and it was lovely to see so many parents at school to watch their children run for Sport Relief.
