Reception children plant… | Independent Primary School Buckinghamshire

Reception children plant cress seeds

Reception have planted their cress seeds this week and we found it very strange that we didn’t need any soil to plant them in. All we needed was some damp cotton wool and a sunny spot in the conservatory. We only planted them on Wednesday and already some of the children have noticed a change in their seeds! We are wondering what we will see when we are back at school on Monday. We have also been very excited talking about the Royal wedding this coming Saturday. We finished off the week with crown designing and writing about the royal wedding and it was lovely to see the children so eager to write independently using their phonic knowledge. This week the parts for the summer production have been sent home. Please can your child learn their words off by heart by our first day back after half term as we will be starting our rehearsals straight away. Enjoy the sunny weekend everyone!
