Reception create a small world model of San Romano
This week we have started our study of the painting ‘The battle of San Romano’ by Paolo Uccello. The children have expressed their opinions and views of the painting giving reasons to why they have that like/dislike it. We have made our own small world model of the painting, including orange trees, pipe cleaner knights and crops in the distance. We are also in the process of making a model horse using junk materials, which will be continued during our second week. This painting is currently hanging in the National Art Gallery in London and if you were looking for a nice day out over half term it would be really fantastic to take your child up to see the painting and help them develop an appreciation of the scale of the painting. Have a great half term and don’t forget to post your child’s achievements on Tapestry.
