Reception enjoy a great day out at Whipsnade Zoo

It has been so great to welcome Reception back this week and we hope you all had a fun half term. We are sure everyone is well rested and ready for our final few weeks. It is certainly set to be a busy half term with swimming, Sports Day, and our end of term production to mention but a few exciting things ahead! Of course the week has been packed with many activities but our trip to Whipsnade Zoo on Thursday has certainly been the highlight. With the weather on our side we loved seeing the ring tailed lemurs, the cheeky (but rather sleepy) chimps and the wonderful bird of prey show.

Inside the Butterfly house we were able to spot many different varieties of butterflies and were amazed at some of the sizes and colours. We did some investigating during our talk with Danielle, one of the zoo keepers, and used a variety of clues to identify some wild animals. We even stroked a real snake called Reggie and asked lots of interesting questions. A big thank you to those of you who have sent through your report comments to us, we would appreciate the final report comments by Monday 10th June at the latest please so that we can add them to your child’s final report.
