Reception share their independent writing, maths and creative boats

The children have enjoyed learning about floating and sinking this week. It’s always fun to learn with water! They have been scientists and learnt to make predictions about which objects might float or sink. They have talked about the materials of objects, made boats and tested them. In Maths the children have been sequencing numbers. They have made their own number lines and used them to find missing numbers in sequences. The children have been showing us their learning by choosing some of their own activities this week. We hope you enjoy the photos of their independent writing, maths and creative boats!

We will be sending home a poem this week for homework. Please help your child to learn this poem. Two weeks after half term your child will have the opportunity to recite this poem in front of their friends. We also practise at school, so do not worry if your child finds this difficult.
