Reception - How does your garden grow?

This week in Reception has been another jam-packed fun-filled five days. On Monday, we zoomed off into space and wrote a list of all of the things we could see: wiggly aliens, sparkly stars and even a few moon rabbits hopping around. We then used these ideas to create a postcard from the moon, which should be coming to a post box near you soon!

In Maths, we have been sticking with our rocket theme and adding and subtracting by counting on and counting back.

We were also able to utilise the lovely weather and did some scientific research on what plants need to grow. We have planted our own sun flowers, sorted seeds into groups based on their appearance and labeled diagrams of the different parts of plants. When the weather was less than delightful, both classes channelled their inner Van-Gogh’s and created beautiful flower-themed artwork.
