Reception learn about the story of Christmas

Christmas is certainly on its way, and this week in Reception we have been learning all about the Christmas Story. The children have enjoyed listening to the story from the Bible and then had a go at sequencing it independently. Mrs Sutton shared her knitted nativity scene and we were able to use it to retell the story as a year group. We have also been sharing what we love most about Christmas and talking about our family traditions. It has been so lovely to hear about all of the fantastic things you all get up to over the festive period. We are also excited to be thinking about advent calendars in preparation for Saturday 1st December! We have also been really excited to receive some new Numicon maths resources and we have loved using them in our maths lessons. The children have continued to work their socks off in rehearsals this week and can not wait for the production next Friday at school at 11 am. Please can your child’s costume be in school by Monday 3rd at the latest in preparation for our dress rehearsal.
