Reception - the importance of Christmas
Well, the countdown to Christmas 2020 has officially begun in Reception! The classrooms are being decorated with pictures of the Nativity scene, angels, paper chains and Christmas trees all wrapped up amongst the warm and cosy sounds of Christmas carols. The children have learnt about the true meaning of Christmas and why this celebration is such a special one to millions of people all over the world. We have talked about how giving a special gift is just as special as receiving one and how it is really important to get to bed early on Christmas Eve so that Santa can be on time to deliver his presents. On Wednesday we recorded our Christmas songs for you all to enjoy over the festive period and we are really looking forward to seeing the final video. One week to go until the Christmas break, which both children and adults are very much looking forward to!
