Reception - toys, poppies and counting bears

This week the children have had lots of fun with toys. They talked about their favourite toy from home and wrote about it too! Thanks grown-ups for sharing the toy pictures on Tapestry to enable this to happen. The children have learnt about old toys and new toys. They have learnt about Remembrance Day. They followed instructions to make poppies and then used resources independently displaying their own creative ideas to make poppies. In Maths the children have been learning how to add with ‘counting bears’ and the teachers loved how one child commented that adding just makes your teddy bear family bigger!
