Reception visit Bekonscot Model Village

What a wonderful week we have all had!

We have been continuing with our number recognition to 20 in Maths and also talking about the days of the week, putting them in the correct order, learning our ‘days of the week song’ and talking about our favourite day of the week!

On Friday, the children thoroughly enjoyed their first school trip to Bekonscot Model Village. The highlights being the minibus journey, the ‘real life’ train and investigating the models closely. The children will be recalling their favourite parts of their trip on Monday and writing about it in our English lesson. We would like to say, we were very impressed with the children’s behaviour throughout the day and can’t wait until our next trip in the Spring Term to Mead Open Farm.

It has been fantastic to see so many of you ‘liking’ our Facebook posts of the children and commenting on the Tapestry posts too. We are really enjoying sharing all of your children’s achievements and activities in school and it is great for the teachers to see some examples of fun activities done at home too! Keep liking and posting!

Please can we remind you that next Friday is our school Harvest Festival. We would like to invite you to make a small donation of some tins of food, which we will collate into one big box from Reception. Have a fun weekend and we will see you all on Monday.
