Year 1 - adjectives, number bonds and recycling

Well what a busy week we have had! We are really pleased to see all of Year 1 are attending and engaged in online learning lessons. It has been lovely to see you all happy and to hear your news. We are also really proud of the way Year 1 has adapted to remote learning. Well done!

In English this week we have read the Tin Forest by Helen Ward and Wayne Anderson. We have created our own forests and used different adjectives to describe the habitat. Using our work we then wrote our own version of the story. Remember to upload them to Tapestry for your teacher to read and enjoy!

In Maths we have worked hard to solve maths problems and find number bonds to 10 and then 20. It was great to see the children using different resources and strategies to support their learning.

In Topic the children explored recycling materials and sorted them into the different bins at home. They then created animals with the materials and it was lovely to see the outcomes and hear about the recycled materials they had chosen to use.
