Our focus this week has been celebrating our successes. In Learning for Life we have been learning to recognise how we feel when we are proud of our achievements. We shared some of our achievements at school and at home, with our classmates. In Maths we have shared our successes at the end of our first unit of work. We have learnt how to use the part, part, whole method to represent simple addition sentences and number bonds. Please see the post on Tapestry for further information. In English we have completed our own books, written to retell the Gruffalo story. The children have amazed us with their beautiful, descriptive vocabulary. This has also been demonstrated through our new book Journey, a picture book, which has given us an opportunity to narrate the story ourselves. We have used our senses to describe the interesting settings in the story.
