Year 1 enjoy a celebratory picnic lunch

Union flags, colourful hats and big smiles were the order of the day today as the Year 1 children enjoyed their Royal Wedding picnic lunch. During Maths, we used the royal stamps we had designed and played shops; taking turns to buy stamps and give create the correct values. Dictionaries provided a fascinating focus in English, the children each chose a word and produced their own dictionary page, they were delighted to find the word ‘dictionary’ in the dictionary!
