Year 1 - number relationships and fossil hunting
We can’t quite believe another week has come to an end. Even the children are saying that the days are flying by in Year 1. In Maths we were learning to identify whether a number is more than, less than or equal to another when given two or more numbers within 20. We were practising using the correct language and symbols. We used concrete manipulatives and pictorial representation to help us understand the relationship between given numbers and where to find them on a number line.
In Topic we travelled all the way to Dorset! We were amazed at how dedicated Mary Anning was separating the fossils from the rocks and discovering an ichthyosaurus fossil. We have also been busy learning our lines, singing our songs and practising our actions. We were very excited about our Christmas Production which we recorded on Wednesday for you all at home. Let the Christmas countdown begin!
