Year 1 - place value, prediction and “un pull”
This week we have very much enjoyed meeting with the parents to share news of achievements and progress. Thank you everyone.
We have been very busy in Maths learning the place value of numbers to twenty. First we built different numbers using resources including tens frames and numicon. We have thought about how many tens and how many ones are in the numbers and used this to solve word problems.
In English we have enjoyed our new class story Man on the Moon. We have practised using our reading skills to make predictions, ask questions and sequence the story.
We have had lots of fun in French where we have been learning to talk about the weather and naming the clothes we would wear during different seasons.
