Year 4 discuss earthquake safety
For our topic on natural disasters, Year 4 have been exploring earthquakes. We agreed that, if an earthquake happens, there’s not a lot you can do to stop it. However, after researching countries which are prone to earthquakes (most of which are along or near the edge of the earth’s oceanic and continental plates), we discovered that there are steps people can take before, during and after an earthquake to stay as safe as possible. We worked in groups to develop our own earthquake safety posters, making sure the information was concise, useful and easy to access.
