Year 4 enjoy a trip to the Natural History Museum
On Thursday, Year 4 went to the Natural History Museum. We were able to make our own volcanoes, saw how buildings are adapted to be “earthquake-safe” and even got to experience what an earthquake was like in the simulator. After writing our own diary entries of what it might have been like to live in Pompeii when Vesuvius erupted, it was also especially interesting to see some casts of people who sadly died in Pompeii.
After lunch, we had time to visit the dinosaur zone and see the sorts of creatures that lived during some of Earth’s most violent volcanic activity.
