Year 4 get used to exciting new technology

This week, the pupils have been getting used to some exciting new technology around the school. Using the newly fitted Chromecast devices, the students and teachers can quickly mirror their computer screens to the large display in class. This enables the children to easily share their Chromebook work and gives the teachers the option to use the camera function on their computer to share examples of pupils' written work for exemplification and peer review purposes.

Along with the new hardware, the children in Year 4 have been getting used to using the Google Classroom app. This virtual classroom gives the staff opportunity to set assignments and pose questions to their classes to be responded to online. Classroom is used widely in the upper school so it is good practice for the children to get started this term. Details of assignments should be detailed in homework diaries.

At home, please see the correspondence about the ESB exams. Should you have any queries, please get in touch with your child's class teacher.
