Year 4 - Tackling Division

Year 4 have been using creative practical equipment at home this week to help them master the skill of division. They have used Skittles, M&M’s, Mint Imperials, Lego blocks and paper clips as a visual way to understand and explain this tricky process. In school, the children used place value counters! They have been very successful and can divide 2 digit numbers (larger than the times table facts) where exchange is needed and also where there is a remainder.
