Year 5 compare different life cycles
Over the past few weeks, Year 5 have carried out research projects comparing the life cycles of mammals, reptiles, amphibians, birds and fish. They began with finding out about the average gestation periods and litter sizes for a range of mammals and were fascinated by how much these figures varied between different species. Through group work in class and extension homework tasks, the pupils created detailed factfiles which they then enjoyed sharing with each other this week.
