Year 5 demonstrate a bit of festive creativity in Art
It may be a sunny and showery September for most, but in the Art Department, it is Christmas! This week, Year 5 pupils have enjoyed creating their designs for this year’s Christmas cards. The theme was ‘Flying Reindeer’ and the children were challenged to create three flying reindeer using only torn paper. They used the resources imaginatively to create snowy landscapes with tiny trees, bell adorned harnesses and even Father Christmas on his sleigh. They particularly delighted in using hole punchers to punch little white circles, creating a snowy sky background. Miss Lawrance and I were thrilled with the variety of ideas and the care and pride they took in their work. You can see their super designs next week when they come home, along with all the information regarding ordering online.
