Year 5 have a fun trip to Ironbridge

We had such a fun day yesterday!!

Mr Atkinson looked superb in his foundry manager’s outfit, Mrs O’Hare’s drama skills came to the forefront and both Mrs Gauntlett and Mr Wallace had to suppress their giggles as your delightful children sang ‘All Things Bright and Beautiful.’

Several boys were told to ‘face the wall’ as they hadn’t addressed the school ma’am in a respectful manner.

This was all part of our Victorian School lesson at Ironbridge.

Back in time to 1900.

Facts, facts and more facts!

It was a world far removed from today!

Left handed pupils had to line up at the front as we heard the cane whip through the air.

Everyone displayed superb acting skills!

Despite the overcast weather, the children had fun and we completed the afternoon by winning coconuts at the Victorian fair as well as enjoying the horses on the carousel.

A day that will remain long in our memories.
