Year 5 - Make great leaps

Year 5 have been enjoying the athletics season so far. We have been making great progress with throws and jumps and have been working on sprints and long distance running. This week, we made the most of the sunshine when it made an appearance for an hour. The children spent some time focusing on their long jump technique and thinking of ways to make them jump as far as possible. After that, they all had a go at having a jump in the sand pit and the outcome was great! We can't wait to continue with athletics in the weeks to come and are excited to use our skills on sports day!
