3 Way Friendly Football Competition at Gayhurst - Monday 14 March 2017

A three way competition between 4 Gayhurst teams, 4 Gateway teams and 3 Thorpe House teams gave all of Year 4 boys the opportunity to represent the school in a friendly but competitive environment. For several of the players this was their first competitive team match and a chance to learn more about the game: tactics, positional responsibilities and rules.

Three of Gateway’s teams were able to play two 20 minute matches while Gateway Leopards played one thirty minute match.

There was plenty of excitement amongst the boys and most games flowed freely with some very physical tackling and lots of opportunities to score. Win or lose, the children all agreed it had been a really fun afternoon and a great experience. Many thanks to all the parents who turned up to support the teams. HJ/KC
