A Great Start to Year 1

The children have really impressed us with how they have settled into their new Year 1 classes. They have quickly got to grips with their new routines and timetable. Their confident approach to their work has been wonderful to see. We have begun the year with our Ourselves topic, the children have shared their Superhero ‘powers’ with us and have designed their class rules to ensure that everyone can learn and have fun in year 1. We have enjoyed our new Power Maths workbooks and are showing how we can problem solve with numbers. In Science we are learning about our senses and will use these next week when we go to the Discovery Centre on Thursday. We look forward to seeing you at our Meet the Teacher evenings next week.
