Chamber choir sing at Woodlands Care Home and for Age Concern Lunch
13th December 2019

On Thursday 12th December, the Chamber Choir has a very busy morning. First they visited Woodlands Care Home to sing to the residents there. Having sung at the Carol concert two days before, they were in good voice and reprised some of the numbers from that event as well as some more traditional carols. The residents loved the singing and really appreciated the children chatting to them at the end of their performance. On their return, the children had a speedy lunch and were on their way again, this time to sing at the Age Concern Lunch at the Baptist Church in Great Missenden. Again, they sang a mixture of traditional carols and repertoire from the carol concert in what was a fantastic acoustic - their voices resonated all around the hall. Many of the audience were impressed by the part singing and confidence displayed by the performers. What a fitting ending to what has been a busy term, and my thanks to all the children for their hard work and commitment preparing for these events.
