EYU become budding photographers

From some of the children’s interests this week we have enjoyed exploring the camera and ICT. The children have learnt how to turn the camera on and off, how to handle the camera and keep it steady to take a photograph. The children ventured outside and took lots of pictures of the school and its surroundings. The children were then able to see how the pictures transferred from the camera to the computer and were then printed. The children cut out their own pictures they had taken and created a photograph album. They were very excited to see their photos on the interactive whiteboard and were able to work out who had taken the photos as well as discussing the pictures. Harvey said “Look it’s a selfie!”

Next week we will be exploring the festival of Diwali.

Finally, EYU have had a very special visitor everyday this week. Daphy duck has been swimming in the tuff spot and enjoying crusts of bread in the garden. The children have been inspired to take photos of the duck.
