EYU children enjoy plenty of outdoor play

The children have loved playing in the sun this week. The sand pit and the water tray have been very popular! The children made pirate ships using corks and investigated floating, sinking and movement in the water. We have been practising counting to 20 in 1s and 2s, and up to 100 in 10s. We are all getting very excited about the Euro 2016 football tournament. This week we focussed on Italy; we have looked at maps of Europe, made Italian pizza, cutting them into halves and quarters, written our names using cooked spaghetti and played table football using straws and table tennis balls. Next week the European country we will be learning about is England and of course we will be celebrating the Queen's birthday.
