EYU children focus on road safety

lollypopHappy New Year! We have been hearing all about your action packed Christmas holidays! The children have come back full of beans and have enthusiastically settled back into the fun and frolics of EYU life. We would like to welcome Grace, Bella, Samuel, Isaac and Charlie to Early Years. This week, we have focussed on road safety. The children have learned about road signs, the importance of holding hands and traffic lights. The children made some traffic light fruit sticks and traffic light biscuits and have enjoyed lollipop role play. In Maths, we have been concentrating on 1 more and 1 less and have investigated the properties of 2d and 3d shapes. The children have really enjoyed playing board games this week. If your child has a favourite board game at home, feel free to bring it in for them to share with their friends. If you find any unwanted games please can you give us first refusal before you get rid of them. A lot can be learned through a board game!
