EYU children learn about St George's Day
29th April 2016
We are feeling very patriotic in EYU this week. We have been learning about St George's Day and celebrating the Queen's 90th Birthday. The children made shields and they watched Nadia from 'The Great British Bake Off' make and present the Queen with her birthday cake. We counted how many tiers there were and all thought it looked delicious. The children used our construction resources to make their own birthday cakes. We didn't manage to fit on 90 candles though!
Next week we will be learning about the traditions surrounding May Day. Please feel free to let your child bring in a named book for Book Week to share during group time.
