EYU children looked at different animals

EYU giraffeEYU children celebrated Roald Dahl Day throughout the week. The children listened to snippets of ‘The Giraffe and the Pelly and Me’ and, using the Interactive Whiteboard, drew their own illustrations of a giraffe, a monkey and a pelican. The children extended their descriptive vocabulary by describing differences between the three animals. Miss P used her fabulous creative skills to draw a giraffe which we used to compare the heights of the children. During small world play with the farm animals, the children compared the heights of the different animals. Next week, the children would like to turn our outside undercover role play area into a Veterinary Practice to care for the poorly and injured animals. If you have any bandages or slings that have expired, please feel free to send them in! Your child can also bring in a toy animal from home to care for (named please!).
