EYU children prepare for Reception transition

The children have continued preparing themselves for Reception this week. We have shared lots of books about starting school and have discussed similarities and differences between Reception classrooms at Gateway School, in the books and schools we have researched on the internet. The children are very excited about starting Reception after the summer holidays. Sebby really enjoyed visiting the School Hall lunch. He helped himself to the salad buffet and asked the lunch ladies for fish, chips and beans. Ella has enjoyed wearing her school uniform and some children have enjoyed visiting the Art room to experience specialist lessons.
