EYU party time!

It has been party time in EYU this week with birthdays galore!! The children have been learning about birthday celebrations and exploring number and quantity through making play dough cakes with candles. Our favourite story this week has been 'This is Actually my Party' by Lauren Child. The children added their thoughts and opinions to the story and discussed what would make a fantastic party.

We ventured out into Great Missenden on Tuesday afternoon. The children were extremely good at listening and following instructions whilst walking to the Buryfields. The children made the most of the Autumn sunshine playing in the park, developing turn taking and gross motor skills. We finished the afternoon off with a story chosen by Charlie in the library.

We finished the week by holding a party in EYU on the day of Lottie's third birthday. The children helped to make sandwiches and prepare the party food ready for snack time. We played party games and decorated party hats. A great time was had by all!

Next week we will be focussing on dinosaurs.
