Gateway does the West End

We are very proud of the excellent standard of our productions at Gateway School and the two performances of Mary Poppins by Year 6 on Wednesday and Thursday evenings at the Elgiva Theatre, were no exception. They were both wonderful. We were transported to London in 1910, for a Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious adventure, based on the award-winning Broadway musical and classic Walt Disney film. Dance, drama and singing are fundamental to cultural engagement and personal development, and the production was colourful, energetic and thoroughly entertaining. The appreciative audiences were testament to that. Having the opportunity to perform together in a theatre, with their friends, in front of their family and other members of our school community, is an experience these children will never forget and couldn’t be a more fitting way to end their time at Gateway School.
