Gateway Year 6 Netball v Chesham Prep, Wednesday 10th February

The A team played in their most difficult match to date, Chesham Prep marked them very closely and were very assertive in their play. It was a very exciting game, the Gateway girls rose to the occasion and lifted their level of play. At the end of the first quarter with Kimberley and Roisin shooting the score was 3 all. At half time the score was 6-3 to Chesham Prep.

In the third quarter Gateway improved their play particularly their marking and the score was 8-4 to Chesham Prep. In the final quarter Gateway continued to work hard fighting for every ball, Roisin had many shots at goal and was unlucky with some, the final score was 9-7 to Chesham Prep. A close well played match. Kimberley was nominated man of the match and the others in the team were Hannah M. centre, Jess Ch. WA, Angharad WD, Hannah W. GD, Emily GD and Eva GS in the second half. The B team also worked hard and raised their level of play. They played Chesham Prep B team and the score was 4-1 to Chesham Prep.

They then played Chesham Prep B team and the score was 2-1 to Gateway.

Iona and Jess J shared the GS position, Georgia GA, Daisy WA and C, Taesha WD, Jess Cloke GD, Freya GK and Eve WD second match. A great afternoon of netball!
