It has been a hugely successful term and one that we have enjoyed enormously. The students have made very good progress in both Physical Education and Games lessons, with the vast majority of them getting the opportunity to represent the school. There have been some excellent individual achievements this term which have included some boys being selected for the U11 District Football Squad and some students progressing through the country cricket trials. The PE department very much hope that those students who have not yet had the opportunity to represent the school will do so next term.

One area of the PE and Games curriculum that we have been especially pleased with is the swimming programme at Risborough Springs Swimming Pool. Students from Year 2 upwards have all had the opportunity to swim and their coaches have regularly expressed their delight with the students positive, hardworking approach. Mr Roberts was especially impressed with the Year 2 students who all managed to swim 20 metres either with or without a float.

Over the last week students have been competing in Hockey and Rugby House matches which have produced a number of keenly fought contests. It has been another opportunity for students to demonstrate the skills they have worked so hard to improve this term. As the term draws to a close we still have Mr Roberts’ Santa Dash to look forward to on Monday, which will provide the students with one final opportunity to represent their House this term.

Finally, we have to mention the Christmas Dances which the students have been working so hard on with Miss Gallop. The filming of these dances has been taking place this week and please keep an eye out for the links to these videos that will be sent out next week.
