IMPS Year 6
19th October 2016
This week Year 6 were visited by the IMPS team from Stoke Mandeville Hospital. The Injury Minimisation Programme for Schools aims to empower young people to take personal responsibility for managing their own risk and equip them with the skills to cope in an emergency. The children learnt about defibrillators, and how to give effective CPR which they were all able to practice in the classrooms. The children also learnt about injury prevention and broken bones. They were able to put a special wet dressing on their fingers and let it dry to become a finger cast! Check out their web page for further details.
