ISA London North Champions - Wednesday 24 May 2017
26th May 2017
The U11 girls football team have had a fantastic season - ISA London North Champions, local league winners and Bucks Schools semi-finalists. On Wednesday, the girls had one final tournament in which to showcase their skills, travelling to St Nicholas's School in Harlow for the Southern Region National Cup Qualifiers. In blazing sunshine, the girls showed great ability in winning three matches and losing one before the final group match. Victory in this game would ensure qualification for the National Finals. The girls peppered the opposition goal with shots, with our goalkeeper virtually redundant, but they just couldn't get the ball to cross the line - meaning they were to play in the third-fourth place play-off. Another tight game led to the dreaded penalty shoot out, in which we were unsuccessful. Another great day out though and another top effort from the girls.
Squad: Abi H, Zahraa B, Isabel M, Stephanie B, Amelia O, Jemma T, Matilda B, Eleanor W, Lucy A, Penny D.
