ISA National Cross Country - Saturday 26 February

Saturday morning started off a beautifully sunny morning but as I drove to the ISA National Cross Country in Rugby the wind picked up and the temperature dropped. Not ideal weather for our young runners, but then at least it wasn't lashing down with rain. I couldn't help think what an amazing setting Princethorpe College is for this event and great opportunity for our runners.

Our first runner was Will SC-B in the year 3/4 boys race. A new race introduced this year and Will came 31st. A fantastic effort in a strong race. Well done Will.

Our other two boys were extremely excited whilst warming up for their race. What a great opportunity for Cormac N and Oakley D. It was clear from the off they weren't going to let nerves get the better of them as they raced towards the front. A few minutes later saw the first of the Gateway runners coming through and Cormac took 3rd place with Oakley not far behind in 16th.

Well done to all three boys, fantastic ambassadors for sport at Gateway.
