Pupils, staff and parents at Gateway School are celebrating, after receiving their latest inspection results.

The school underwent an integrated inspection by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI), in March. ISI Inspectors operate under the Ofsted framework, approved by the Department for Education.

According to the report, “The quality of the pupils’ achievement and learning is excellent” and “The breadth and variety of the curriculum makes a significant contribution to the lives of the pupils at the school.”

Inspectors also noted that “Children in the Early Years Foundation Stage make outstanding progress, including in their literacy and numeracy skills” and “Members of the teaching staff are active in seeking ways to constantly enhance the scope and positive impact of the curriculum on their pupils.”

Gateway School currently has 330 pupils and welcomes children from the ages of two to eleven.

Head Teacher, Mrs Sue La Farge, was delighted with the results of the recent inspection.

“We are thrilled with the results of our latest ISI inspection, which is a true testament to the commitment and enthusiasm of all our staff and pupils. We are committed to working in partnership with parents to create a nurturing and stimulating educational environment for every child and I am delighted that this is reflected in the inspectors’ comments.”
