Miss Topping and Mrs Brameld were thrilled with the final production of 'Commotion in the Ocean' last Friday. The children have worked extremely hard to learn their words and speak with clarity and confidence. We are sure you will all agree that they looked amazing in their costumes and the beaming smiles that radiated from their faces throughout was a sure sign that they enjoyed themselves. Well done!`
What a triumph for Year 1! The Cow that Laid an Egg was a superb show that kept the audience enthralled to the end. Each child learnt their lines superbly and performed in character. We loved your costumes (thank you to all the seamstresses!) Despite the heat and an on stage nosebleed you were true professionals and performed beautifully.
Thank you all.
The term finishes with sports day and a class party to celebrate a wonderful year. We say goodbye to a Gateway Great, Mrs Ross has been a superb teacher and will be greatly missed by us all. Miss Ives is off on her adventures, we will never forget her kindness, enthusiasm and love of Forest School! Thank you both for everything you have done for the children and staff at Gateway!
We have been asked to recommend apps to support children’s learning over the holidays. There are many online games such as the BBC website, Hit the Button, Roy the Zebra etc as described in the children’s reports. We have also heard good reports of the Rocket Maths app and Reading Eggs app.
We hope you have a wonderful holiday.
Oh, what a show! We were entertained today by a sunny and cheerful year 2 who proved how much they have blossomed over the year, becoming self-assured and confident little people. They performed “Flutterpillar”, singing with great gusto and presenting their lines word perfectly. It was a very slick performance and we are so proud of them. Thank you so much to David Michener who taught them all the songs and also thank you parents, for your help to get costumes ready and to check lines were learnt.
We hope you have a super holiday! Here are a few more photos.
